myspace SUCKS! In spite of my profile stating that I did NOT want any sluts & prostitutes making "Friend requests"
I got emailed many such requests every day, which I deleteted right away.
Only meant to contact other deadheads & friends I know...(as was stated in my profile) what a fucked up meatmarket-site!- i shoulda known-lol

anyone else had a simular experience there?

Haven't yet, or hadn't last time I looked. I don't spend a whole lot of time monkeying around with it, either. I do know that for the first couple of days that the page was up my profile said I'm single, and I had to dig a little to find where I could amend that. Maybe you need to do something similar.

Oh yeah. I find the whole thing pretty laughable though.
I'm pretty sure there aren't any 18 year old girls from NY that want to be my friend.

The only real bummer I have found on the myspace is that the Grateful Dead keeps pulling their songs off and I can't keep their tunes on my homepage.
But there are some really nice Heads on there with some cool pages.

Ian...doin fine. Very soon I be movin 13mi south to my Landlords other abode...no PC- alas!
I'll have to use the library in Stockton.
Yeah I cancelled myspace today, never used it anyway-had 2 friends there, Max Chorax and a friend I know in Reno.
I wouldn't try to make any "love connection" on the internet if I had a gun to my head-haha!
Was there for laughs & giggles. Most anyone I checked out from friend requests turned out to be semi-dressed women, hawking their wares. Maybe I shouldn't have said my income was +250k lol

well best of luck with the move. shakin' it up is always a good thing! don't knock internet dating until you've given it a whirl. i've been fortunate enough to find love not once, but twice 'out here'. just be honest about yourself and what your hoping to find. stranger ones have flown by here and stranger things have happened...

peace.
